Zack is tan skin, big grins, floppy hair and tackles his job with the same full-blown enthusiasm he does everything else. When the “patient from hell” is thrown his way by another PT who can’t handle him, Zack is committed to achieving the impossible. His new patient is a head strong and hot as hell homicide detective, who oozes as much resentment as he does sex appeal. Any involvement with a patient, especially a man who is so deep in the closet he can’t see light, is something Zack swore he’d never do. But Brody slowly proves too much to resist…

So I have mixed emotions about this book, and it’s for the strangest reason in the world. At least to me. This is the first time I have read a book by this author, and I felt a little let down after finishing the story.

While I did enjoy the story as a whole, I felt like there was a lot of time spent on what the characters appearances were. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy a sexy looking man as much as the next person, but I don’t really want to read about it over and over again.

I was a bit confused about Douglas’s character at times. I usually do enjoy the stories where the character goes back and forth with their attraction towards the other character, but with him and his back and forth with Zach it started to bother me after a bit.

Now Zach’s character, I did enjoy. I think that with everything he was dealing with in regards to Douglas, he did an amazing job. I also liked how the author added the little bits about his past to the story. That helped to understand a bit about him.

Overall, while I did enjoy the story, I just wasn’t able to completely get into it. It might have just been that this book wasn’t exactly my cup of tea. I would still read from this author in the future for sure.
